Concert “The Magic Flute”

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Sala San Benedetto of the Canonica di Sant’Apollinare, Mozart’s magic flute will be held with a reciting voice and a trio of horns

The Magic Flute is a wonderful musical work: a popular fairy tale fascinating in its poetry, which, behind the apparent simplicity, contains several planes of reading:

  • the adventurous journey of young Tamino who must free and conquer his Pamina;
  • the funny Papageno, half man and half bird, who reminds us of a dimension of symbiosis with Nature;
  • the thirst for revenge of the Queen of the Night – from which, however, springs one of the most famous arias of musical theatre;
  • the wise Sarastro, a symbol of the noblest values, such as brotherhood and love among men. For these reasons, and a thousand others, the Magic Flute is a narrative that can fascinate young and old, to which Mozart’s music has given sublime beauty.

The Tribsterill Trio, founded in 2014, will evoke the magic of Mozart’s Theater in this project, which includes a selection of the Opera’s arias, arranged by the same members of the group for Trio di Corni di bassetto. The narration of the story is entrusted to the voice of Carlo Corsini, a professional reader and actor.
