How do I get to the Christmas markets?

On foot

Conveniently located in the heart of the city, both Christmas markets are within 10 minutes walking distance from the train and bus stations of Trento.

By train:

The reference stop is “Trento”. Direct connections to Munich, Bolzano, Verona, Venice, Rome and Naples are available daily. From the central station it is possible to walk comfortably to the historic center in 5 minutes. Info on the Trenitalia website.

By other means of transportation

BY BUS: The most frequent buses from Piazza Dante to Piazza Mostra and approaching Piazza Fiera are number: A, 1 , 6 and 7 . Timetables can be found in detail on the Trentino Trasporti website.

BY CAR: From the A22 Brenner-Modena highway, exit at the Trento Nord tollbooth or the Trento Sud tollbooth and take the city ring road, following the signs for the historic center.

BY FLIXBUS: the FlixBus stop in Trento is located on Lungoadige S. Nicolò Street about a 5/10 minute walk from the train station and a 15/20 minute walk from Piazza Fiera (one of the two Christmas Market squares). To reach the Mercatino square cross S. Lorenzo bridge and go over the overpass to the bus station. Then take Andrea Pozzo Street to the right in the direction of the center. You can also take one of the buses that leave from Piazza Dante (opposite the train station) in the direction of Piazza Fiera.
